Meghe Dhaka Tara (1960), was written and directed by Ritwik Kumar Ratak, based on a social novel by Shaktipada Rajguru with the same title.

The plot of Chowringhee was based on the best-selling novel by Shankar where the vital role of Mr. Bose was potrayed by Uttarn kumar

Soumitra Chatterjee debuted in 1959 in Satyajit Ray’s The World of Apu (Aour Sansar). Ray believed with a beard he looked like young poet laureate Tagore.

Actress Smita Patil made her debut in Mrinal Sen classic Akaler Sandhane in 1980

Karuna Banerjee was a strong actress who was known for her stage plays. But she got her true credit when she played Sarbajaya Roy in Pather Panchali and Aparajito.

Dolly Anwar was a national award-winning film actress, whose debut film was Surjo Dighal Bari (1979) and put the mark of conclusion with Dalian (1986)

Chandranath(1984), directed by Chashi Nazrul Islam was the adaptation of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s novel with same title.

Aparna Sen debut her fim  career on Satyajit’s Tin Kanya on 1961.

Raisul Islam Asad was played two different famous roles of Siaj Saain and Lalon on the Goutam Ghose film Moner Manush (2010) and Tanvir Mokammel film Lalon(2004).

Mahanagar marks the first screen appearance of Jaya Bhaduri Bachchan, who later became one of Bollywood’s leading actresses

Humayun Faridi was a famous film actor but he was so popular for the drama Songsoptok (1988) as the role of Kankata Romjan.

Golapi Ekhon Traine(1978) was based on the novel of Amjad Hossain, Droupodi Ekhhon Traine and directed by himself.
