Ashraful Alam Sadi has been named CinePerson for the Fall 2022 term, a rare recognition for CinemaScope members. This award is given to the participant in the cinema apprenticeship program, CinemaScope, who has been the most engaged and active throughout the whole semester.
Despite his desire to relocate abroad, his passion for becoming a filmmaker led to his admission to ULAB. On our apprenticeship day, Sadi learned about CinemaScope, and he joined CinemaScope with a desire to become a filmmaker. Sadi joined CinemaScope to learn more about filmmaking and the backstage environment. He appeared in a number of short films. The name “Friba” is one of them. He worked as an art director in both “Influencer” and “Bonsai.”
Sadi attended a number of workshops, masterclasses, film reading sessions, and advanced workshops, in addition to having a strong desire to become a filmmaker. He also served on the executive panel for CinemaScope. Beginning his career as a production secretary, he then held positions as an account manager, HR manager, and event manager. When Sadi was the event manager for the Fall 22 semester, CinemaScope hosted some lovely events.
Ritwik Kumar Ghatak is an Indian screenwriter, director, and dramatist who inspires Sadi the most by using innovative filmmaking methods.
